SD Gunner Zaku Warrior Review

Woo! Picked this little gem up during the week and all I have to say is wowie wow wow wow! Actually...I have more to say than that!

The SD Gunner Zaku Warrior is really a great model, first of all, it doesn't require any paint to look good, so you'll be satisfied with what you just built when you finish it (unlike the Jagd-Doga D:)and it has a surprising amount of articulation so you can pose it in almost any pose you can think of except maybe a handstand, but I haven't tried that yet...hold on a sec--

--ok, so mabe it CAN do a handstand, so all of you people who like putting your SD models in Gymnastic poses, this is the one you NEED to get!

The only problems I have are the facts that you can't really see gray detailing lines on the red generic paintjob, and that it can't really hold it's gun with 2 hands unless you put it in a very specific pose.

SD Jagd-Doga Review

Yay, my first Gunpla Review (and Anything review)!

What lies before you is the SD MSN-03 Jagd Doga (supposed to be the Quess Paraya custom...but...yeah, I'll get to that in a second) also known as my first Gunpla (yaaay!...sorta).

Sadly, this isn't the awesome quality product I expected from Bandai. The first big problem is the coloring, which is actually two problems in one. The head REALLY should have been done in 2 parts, since the head of the actual Jagd Doga is Grey and Red, but Bandai decided to mold it as one object so now it needs paint to match what it should look like. Additionally, you are supposed to be able to customise it to look like Gyunei Guss' Jagd-Doga, so Bandai added an extra runner with the proper head in yellow, so it's not just a recolour. While I like that they did that, they also put the Shoulder armor on the yellow runner, which is fine if you wanna use the Gyunei colors, but it isn't fine if you just want to use Quess' colors, so now, you need to buy Red and Grey paint.

The next problem ise the fact that this (and most other) SD Gundam models require paint to look very good at all (the picture above is what it looks like without paint). While this is ok if you already have paints ready, but I personally don't really want to spend an extra $6 (about the price of 2 Gunze Sangyo paint...things) to make a single model look moderately better (then you need an AirBrush if you don't already have one...like me D':)

Problem 3 is the Bazooka. They tried to make it shoot little red balls and failed pretty miserably, I think I can get mine to shoot about...2cm! and the red switch thing for shoosting the balls kinda makes it look ugly (it'd look fine if they just didn't try the old ball shooting gimmick...it's old and I hate it!)

Problem 4 is the joints. Because SD Gundam are meant to be customizable, the joints sorta "plug" into the sockets. This makes it so it's arms are constantly falling out of their sockets (and when I try to put them back the shoulder plates fall off, and as I try to catch thost, the sheild falls out of its hand and---yeah, you get the point)

All of these problems make it seem more worthy of a dollar store than a model-type shop, but, while it has a ton of bad points, it not like it's the worst purchase I've ever made (see my last 2 posts)

Introduction+Complaint

Yo! tactical.KODIAK here! I am having to rewrite this due to major WTFage, but basically, I've wanted to make a blog for quite some time, and guess what...I DID! Anyways, now to the actual point of mah first post.

I'll just start by saying this. I hate ordering stuff off (on?) the internets. I have had way to many bad experiences with it. First one I can remember is ordering Flash MX04 from Ebay (I hade avoided ordering until 2004...go me!) the package was a few weeks late due to being delivered to the wrong address. Next one that stands out is my SD Macross figures mysteriously stopping at Federal Way and never leaving...until they stopped tracking it, so I had to order another one. Then, more recently, I am still awaiting some software I ordered in February. Keep in mind that ALL of the problems I've had have been, in some way, tied to the US Post Office.

Hokay, fast foward to present day! I just ordered some SD Gunpla from a company that will remain un-named for now and I am now currently pissed off for three reasons.

1.)They clearly advertised that they ship UPS, but in the end, they shipped USPS (remember what I told you to keep in mind? I HATE USPS!

2.)The USPS Tracker has listed that there was no record of the package for 3 days now

3.)I called them today asking for an explanation of these happenings and didn't have my order number handy, so they asked me to call back. and when I did, noone answered.

So, either this company is ripping me off (aka, stealing mah munnies) or USPS is being the retards they always have been...either way I want my models!
